The rare first-year-of-release US 1 Sheet film poster for classic Ealing comedy The Lavender Hill Mob. A delightful heist comedy caper in which a meek bank clerk (Alec Guiness) who oversees the shipment of bullion joins with an eccentric neighbour (Stanley Holloway) to steal gold bars and smuggle them out of the country as miniature Eiffel Towers. Classic British comedy at its finest and, interestingly, includes a brief cameo by Audrey Hepburn in what is considered to be her first appearance in a major movie.
Originally folded (as issued) this poster has been professionally linen-backed in the European Style (without any restoration). It is sized 27 1/2 x 41 inches (29 3/4 x 44 inches including the linen-backing) and will be sent rolled (unframed).
