The Birds/Psycho 1970 Czech A1 Film Poster, Ziegler

Wonderfully macabre and very cool artwork by Zdenek Ziegler features on the Czech double bill film poster for Hitchcock's classics The Birds/Psycho, including some great images of the maestro himself Hitchcock.

An incredibly rare poster, especially rolled in such good condition and in the larger Czech size.

Like their neighbours in Poland, the designers of the Czech Republic, free from commercial constraints and enjoying far greater artistic freedom than their Western counterparts, treated film poster design as an art form. The result is an immensely powerful, wildly original and beautiful body of work.
