Esther WIlliams never achieved her dream of Olympic gold because the games were cancelled in 1940, the year she would have competed. But photos of the U.S. champion attracted the attention of showman Billy Rose, who called her in for an audition where Johnny Weissmuller picked her out of a field of 75 hopefuls to co-star in the Aquacade show, and the rest is history.
This stunning MGM character poster features Williams at her pin-up queen best. Truly encapsulating the Golden Era of Hollywood with the gold bathing suit and techicolor glow!
